MURRIETA, Calif. (January 29, 2022) — Stuart and Kate Macklin, founders of Little Fruit Tree, a company with products intended to provide hope to those struggling with infertility and miscarriages, are celebrating a personal milestone with their own Rainbow Baby story. A Rainbow Baby refers to a healthy child born after a previous loss due to miscarriage, infant loss, stilbirth or neonatal death. The Macklins battled infertility for more than seven years after they suffered a miscarriage. It was during this time that they created Little Fruit Tree, an online retail company, to help others experiencing similar grief and grasping for renewed hope. At the end of 2021, the couple welcomed their own Rainbow Baby. Charlie Macklin is a healthy, happy and thriving baby, demonstrating the proverbial rainbow after a dark and stormy time.

The March Of Dimes estimates that 10–15% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. For parents suffering through these difficult circumstances, hope may feel like it’s in short supply. As the Macklins went through their journey, Kate and Stuart turned to their creative outlets to help them heal. Kate started designing products to serve as a symbol of hope for others going through similar pain. As her journey continued, the product line evolved to include baby shower gifts and other items recognizing the joy of new life as couples celebrate their own Rainbow Babies. Shoppers can find unique clothing for babies, toddlers and adults as well as adorable and original stuffies. The store also offers a line of home decor products including pillows, nursery art and bedding. All items are original designs from Kate Macklin’s studio.

The Macklins want to bring more awareness to those endeavoring to become pregnant in order to provide support and comfort. In short, they want to remind others that they are not alone in their struggles.

“Rainbow babies are babies born after miscarriage, stillbirth or loss,” said co-founder Kate Macklin. “The storm refers to the trials and tribulations of the loss experienced before the rainbow. Our products are created to honor the Heaven-dwelling babes as we celebrate the life of the little rainbows that arrived after. The products act as a physical reminder of hope and are often a faith purchase as couples await their own rainbow.”

The Macklins feel that celebrating life and holding onto faith that better days are to come are the keys to walking through the most challenging times.

“We are so unbelievably honored when people purchase our products after a miscarriage as an encouragement to themselves,” said Little Fruit Tree co-founder Stuart Macklin. “Most people purchase our products to celebrate their breakthrough.”

About Little Fruit Tree Shop

A company born from loss, Little Fruit Tree began after Stuart and Kate Macklin went through the tragedy of miscarriage. To find new hope as they went through more than seven years of trying to have a healthy baby, they turned to creative outlets including writing books, and designing products intended to provide hope for others experiencing the same struggles. The Macklins welcomed their own little miracle, Charlie, at the end of 2021. They refer to Charlie and other babies like him as “Rainbow Babies” meaning that they were born after miscarriage, stillbirth or loss, representing the rainbow that follows a storm. With more than 10,000 customers served, Little Fruit Tree is quickly becoming one of the best sources for unique baby, home, gift and toy items for baby showers.
